What we do

Rivertown Communications excels at creating effective e-learning and video based training courses using the content and knowledge your organization already has or we develop new material using our experts. We develop training that helps your employees, affiliates and learners become more effective. We begin by meeting with your staff to listen to your needs and to identify the content for your training.

Our instructional designers will write custom lessons based on this content and our graphics designers and video professionals will create the visual elements to best illustrate the training. Our programmers will combine all elements into an e-Learning program or video production that is available to your audience 24/7. If desired, testing and learner tracking can be integrated into the training modules to measure progress and certify mastery.

Our typical projects

e-Learning

   

Typical e-Learning modules are 2-4 hours of learner contact time although we’ve created modules as short as 5 minutes and systems as long as 40 hours. Our e-Learning is self-paced, interactive and effective. We are experts in creating training that meets all federal and state ADA and Section 508 accessibility standards and multilingual courses.

Video Training

  

With the increased availability of high-speed Internet connections, video is being used more frequently as a training and informational marketing tool. We've produced 2-minute promotional clips to courses several hours in length and our productions can be multi-lingual and accessible. We shoot in HD at any location in the world.

Websites

  

We produce information-based websites for a variety of customers. We've developed quick, single-page brochure sites to complex, data-driven sites which can display product catalogs and are easy to update and maintain. As with all our products, our websites can be multi-lingual and meet accessible requirements.

Measurement and Evaluation

  

Rivertown Communications has developed a flexible survey system called Compass Plus. This system uses a powerful dual-scale method to obtain much more accurate information than the typical single-scale system can. Compass Plus ® can be integrated into e-Learning courses to obtain learner input or as a free-standing system to conduct complex employee evaluations, gap analysis surveys and needs assessments in connection with training programs.

Our typical customer is one who has identified a training need within their organization but does not have available staff to develop, test and implement the training themselves. Rivertown Communications will work with your staff as part of your training development team and can fulfill all your development needs, from producing an e-Learning module or video production from your script to handling the complete production including research, identifying content and instructional design.
